About Oakmont at Pelican Bay

Oakmont at Pelican Bay is a single-family home community located in the north-central portion of Pelican Bay off Oakmont Parkway and Green Tree Drive. There are a total of 133 homes located in Oakmont with construction on the first properties completed in 1987. Construction continued through the early '90s. Many of these homes have had complete remodeling and/or additions which show like almost new construction while others are still completely original and may need updating.

Views and Lot Descriptions

Oakmont at Pelican Bay offers 16 homes with lake views. Homes that back up to Tamiami Trail offer larger than normal lot sizes due to the buffer between the road and the neighborhood The majority of these homes back up to each other and are located on smaller lots but offer fenced backyards for privacy. You can expect lushly landscaping for privacy with the lion's share of these homes.

Floor Plans

Home sizes start at 1,830 square feet with three bedrooms and increase in size up to 4,607 square feet for a four-bedroom plus den home completed in 2018. Only two homes have been torn down and rebuilt to date but as time moves on and current floor plans become less relevant, you can expect more new construction activity during peak market cycles.

Amenities

While Oakmont Park is not limited to just Oakmont homeowners alone, it is a shady place to take kids and grandkids for some playground fun. Shady walking paths intertwine from Lynnmore Ln, Shadow Lake Ln, and Woodhaven Ln and run lakeside through Oakmont and connect in Waterford, Barrington, and beyond. There are dog clean-up stations and you will meet lots of neighbors strolling along with friends, family, and their favorite four-legged friends. Oakmont residents also enjoy all of the amenities offered through Pelican Bay including two beach clubs, a vibrant tennis club, a fitness center, and optional golf opportunities at the Pelican Bay Club.

Pets are welcome and homeowners are permitted to lease their Oakmont homes two times per year with thirty-day minimum stays.

Flood Zone

Oakmont Homes are located in Zone "X" an area that is determined to be located outside the 100-year and the 500-year floodplain. This is great news for your home insurance premium.

A special feature about Oakmont is the fact that there are no additional mandatory fees other than the master association fee. A nominal annual fee is optional if you wish to join the Oakmont neighborhood association.
