Park Shore Homes

History

The first homes in Park Shore were completed in the 1950s and consisted of primarily small single-story, concrete block construction. Today, many original homes have been replaced with much larger single-family properties. Many original homes are purchased for approximately lot value and torn down.

New Construction

An increased amount of speculative and custom Park Shore homes have been built within the last five years, enhancing the landscape and character of Park Shore. Building designs vary from West Indies style to modern and change as trends. New construction in Park Shore will ramp up as the real estate market strengthens and typically subsides during downturns in the market. You can still find some original and remodeled original homes in the area.

Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian made landfall in Lee County on September 28th, 2022. As a result, a storm surge was experienced throughout Collier County on that day. Many (not all) original homes in Park Shore suffered water inundation and subsequently were remodeled or torn down and are being rebuilt through 2023. The elevation of new homes in this area must be raised to avoid future inundation. Older remodeled homes did not have this same requirement. Due to this landscape-changing event, you can expect new construction in this location to be stronger than normal for the next few years. You will want to consult an insurance agent for more information. If you do not have one, contact Shannon for assistance.

Park Shore Beach Club

The Park Shore Beach Club is located at the end of Park Shore Drive, where you'll find plenty of parking and a restroom for Park Shore Beach Club members. It is gated and not open to the public. There are no dining facilities, so you will want to bring what you plan on eating and drinking or consider walking over to The Village for a bite.
