Surfsedge at Park Shore
Surfsedge at Park Shore is a beachfront high-rise condominium located 6 buildings south of Park Shore Drive. Surfsedge at Park Shore was the second building to be constructed in Park Shore in 1974. It’s sister building, Gulfside was constructed in 1975.
What separates Surfsedge from Gulfside is the fact that the views on the south side of the building are much more expansive. One of the drawbacks of both buildings is westerly Gulf of Mexico views were not maximized so if you’re looking for a full westerly view from your lanai, this may not be the building for you.
Due to the orientation of the building and the age, pricing at Surfsedge and Gulfside is more reasonable compared to any of the other buildings on the Park Shore beach. The most expensive unit that has ever closed in Surfsedge at Park Shore was $1,400,000 in 2006 while the least expensive unit closed for $187,000 back in 1997.
There are 8 stacks at Surfsedge at Park Shore with a total of 112 units. Floor plans starting with 1,267 square feet. Penthouse 4 and Penthouse 6 were combined at one time and features 2,932 square feet but the largest normal units rank in at 1,661 square feet of living space. Amenities at Surfsedge at Park Shore a sparkling pool, spa, exercise room, community room and library. The biggest challenge for this building is there were not any in-unit laundry facilities in this building during construction. Some units have retrofitted laundry capability but some units still do not have washer and dryers in the unit. Common laundry rooms can be found on each floor so if this is a deal killer for you, you will need to pay close attention to each unit’s laundry description.
Owners are at Surfsedge are not permitted to keep pets and can rent their unit one time per year with a 90-day minimum stay.
