According to the Naples Area Board of REALTORS multiple listing service, floor plans in Calais start in the mid 1,500 square foot range and increase to over 2,100 square feet. Two-bedroom and three-bedroom floor plans exist here. Because Calais was built in the early ’90s, there haven’t been many serious alterations to Calais condos. Still, a few notable improvements have been identified. They are as follows:

• Some Calais owners have opened the kitchens to create more inclusion for the kitchen and brighter space throughout the main living areas of the condo. Buyers respond extremely favorably to this improvement.
• Owners have also removed the master bathtub and extended showers during bathroom renovations. Many Pelican Bay buyers no longer care about bathtubs, but occasional buyers still prefer one for themselves or young grandchildren.
• Enclosing lanai space is another improvement that has been popular over the years. Still, Shannon has found that the current Pelican Bay buyer prospect base shys away from condos that do not offer open-air space.
